Oddities
up in the firmament
the lone moon is dancing
the myriad stars
twinkle in glory
clouds are escaping fast
over the horizon
over the horizon
the clear blue sky
is stretched
far and wide
winds rustle
trees sway
time ticks
as I stare
into darkness
into oblivion
scorched by regrets
tumbling in absurdities
at my own oddities

A night of snow fall in Thimphu
Sun long gone
Street lamps are up at task
Night is unusually dark
and its brutally cold
Heaven has opened it mouth
and wafers down the softened jingles
Wow, it falls down in soft flakes
like dandelions in the air
I retire to bed in heavenly bliss
and dream myself in heaven
I wake up brightened
and I see the specks settled
I contemplate my musings

Lonely tree
the lonely tree at dusk captured at Bhur, Gelephu by zaypa |
Ah, there stands the lonely tree
autumn has ripped it bare
of the spring's rich attire
solitary in the wintry dusk
gazing at the cold engulfing night
forsaken by the parting sun
retreating beyond the skyline
only the clouds tear in mockery
and yet the lonely tree stands tall
silhouetted against the horizon
It puts the cold night to shame
Only to warm this fallen heart

Spring is here again
Spring is here again
and the flowers are blooming
The butterflies are out on their wings
and it tempts my wretched heart
to see the butterflies sway
in the fragrance of the early bloom
How I wish I were a butterfly
I would flutter far and wide
and happily amongst the blossoms glide
intoxicate myself in hypnotic embrace
of the charming beauty vastly spread
the pleasing glory of the spring
the majestic queen of all seasons
when butterflies dance and birds sing

Dewdrops
The dew drops
on the blades
of wintry grass
are not mere drops of water
Its
the gift of the night
the glory of the dawn
the onset of
yet another day

Monsoon musing
with rhythm of the winds
tuned to rustling leaves
and swollen roaring rivers
amidst thunder and lightening
and the majestic hues of a rainbow
echoes to the clouds
eternal songs of harmony
of nature in abundance
and of melodies
that remains
unchained
