Syncing

thoughts

with feelings

aloft

heart aches

and

ebbing dreams

of a fragile heart

Delving

deep within

for reasons

Scouring

far and wide

for

words

My partake

of sunshine

rain and winds,

Summer

Winter

Spring

and even the fall

all familiar

yet distant

close

yet far

I don’t know

what illusive realities

and confused feelings

are all about

only this poem

takes shape

and even poems

are less poetic
at times

I am at your heels

making all efforts

to catch you up

to keep my pace

in tandem with you

I need not trudge

if only you turn back

wait for me

and take me along

Won't you do so

Shall i keep trudging?

Apple of my eyes

Cuddled in my arms

eyes closed

in puerile snores

and faint whispers

sleeps my little one

I lend a gaze

in blessed grace

I see myself

so much in him

I run my fingers

through his silky locks

the envy of many mothers

wavy and sweat stained

from playing truant

the entire day

exhausted, spent

now, he sleeps

in beauty

even in slumber

I am lost gracing

the youthful charms

every day you grow

and I see myself in you

in you lies my everything

You are the apple of my eyes

Life is like a spider

lodged in the coils

of its web

often hanging high

often dangling low

even so

held  captive

in the tangles of the coils

A hostage

with beautiful dreams

but harsher realities

the rainbow beyond grasp

cant break the coils

till life breaks itself totally

 

Lonely tree

the lonely tree at dusk captured at Bhur, Gelephu by zaypa

Ah, there stands the lonely tree

autumn has ripped it bare

of the spring's rich attire

solitary in the wintry dusk

gazing at the cold engulfing night

forsaken by the parting sun

retreating beyond the skyline

only the clouds tear in mockery

and yet the lonely tree stands tall

silhouetted against the horizon

It puts the cold night to shame

Only to warm this fallen heart
